The Killing Stones

The Killing Stones is a very atmospheric thriller set in Orkney.

We start with Jimmy Perez finding the body of his closest and oldest friend, Archie, in a storm, with a peculiar murder weapon nearby.

What follows is a look into the island life and culture, all set in mystery with many twists and turns.

The characterisation is very well done, and the description of all of the locations has done little to help me wanting to visit the outer islands of Scotland.

I didn’t see the suspect coming, and I’m excited to re-read to see if there’s any tidbits I’ve missed in the adventure.
